Jean Ahlert
Secretary
I have been a member of the
union since 1989. I started my career in the union as a Secretary
for Nassau BOCES Unit 7212. I have held this position for the
last 10 years. In 1999 I became Nassau Educational Local 865's
Secretary and still hold this position today. To further my career
in CSEA I was elected to the Statewide Board of Director. I have
been a Board of Director for the last 8 years. I have been appointed
to the Statewide Budget committee and the Publications committee.
I am on the Region School District committee, Membership and Member
Action committee.
I am currently working for Nassau
BOCES as a teacher's aide at the Children's Readiness Center.
For the past twenty years I have worked with children diagnosed
with learning disabilities, behavioral disorders and autism.
